JUNE 1, 2024 - BEAVER SCAVENGER HUNT

We are thrilled to report that our Beaver Scavenger Hunt was a wild success!!! Thanks to a crew of about 50 nature-loving volunteers ages 19 - 80 years, we surveyed approximately 12 miles of creeks and streams in the CSNM looking for beaver sign. We want to know where the beavers are now and what they are doing.

Our partner, Project Beaver, is in the process of reviewing the data collected. The data gathered during the event will help inform the strategies used to increase beaver populations in the Monument. We are thrilled to be able to contribute to the collaborative, long-term effort to increase beaver populations in the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument!
